Black Rose Blues Band

Unable to find a good central source of information pertaining to local bands currently on the circuit, I went to the only logical place...the bar. Jerry's Bar in Chesapeake to be exact, where a few short months ago I saw the hard rock band Brute Force, and then a couple of weeks later, the versatile Steam Boat Jack.
I see from the schedule that last week hosted Black Rose Blues Band, and listening to their myspace site, I'm sorry I missed them. First delving into a video they have posted of "Red House," Black Rose Blues Band gives fine treatment to the song, offering a 13 minute plus tour-de-force.
Similarly, "Stormy Monday" showcases the talents of guitarists J.D. Silvia and Anthony Rosano. The well-capable rhythm section consists of Dale Butcher on Bass and Mike Pelzel on Drums.
It appears that the next opportunity to catch Black Rose Blues Band will be 9/13/09 at Goodfella's Bay Days Blues Bash. Though I was unable to locate who else will be on the ticket, I will be looking forward to catching these guys and their colleagues then!
Tonight and tomorrow, Jerry's is featuring the Southern Blend Band. On the docket for next week at Jerry's is Bad Dadz on Friday and Moto Psychic on Saturday. In a more reggae/rock vein, the Jesse Chong Band/Thin Air Rising will be at the Jewish Mother next Friday, followed by Ryan Hines, NHP, and Joel King.
